QA1 REV™ Series Carbon Fiber Driveshafts Now Certified to SFI 43.1 Spec

December 9, 2015

SFI Foundation LogoAfter a rigorous testing process to ensure the highest quality, both sizes of the new REV™ Series carbon fiber driveshafts by QA1 are now certified to the SFI 43.1 standard.

The SFI Foundation is a non-profit organization that establishes recognized levels of product performance or quality to create a safer racing environment. The 43.1 standard specifically focuses on driveshafts used in competitive motorsports and establishes uniform test procedures and minimum standards for evaluating performance capabilities. Submitted driveshafts are subjected to a static torque test and cyclic torque tests to determine that they meet stringent standards for safety and performance.

driveshaft“We really wanted to focus on quality and safety while developing these driveshafts, and this certification is the industry standard for both,” says Travis Gorsuch, QA1 Director of Advanced Materials. “By torsion testing every driveshaft we manufacture to exceed the standards set by SFI, we can ensure that each driveshaft sold is of the highest quality.”

QA1 released its REV™ Series driveshafts earlier this year. Featuring an exclusive 3M™ Matrix Resin and in-house filament winding, these award-winning driveshafts are available in two performance levels: the first, using 1310 u-joints, for vehicles with up to 750 HP and 500 lb*ft of torque; the second, using 1350 u-joints, for vehicles with up to 2000 HP and 1500 lb*ft of torque. They are available for street and racing applications, including autocross, pro touring and drag racing. Custom driveshafts are also available.
