QA1 Releases New Products for 1963-1982 Corvettes

May 4, 2016

QA1 is releasing several new products for C2 and C3 Corvettes, including Sport Series Stocker Star shocks, front Pro Coil Systems, and a front sway bar, which are all proudly manufactured in QA1’s Lakeville, Minnesota facility.

Sport Series Stocker Star Shocks

The new Sport Series are non-adjustable Stocker Star shocks that were tuned with firmer valving than the standard non-adjustable Stocker Stars. This firmer valving provides improved handling for pro-touring enthusiasts or autocross competition.

“The Sport Series shocks are bolt-on and go, and they combine the self-adjustment performance of non-adjustable shocks with the cornering ability of stiffer shocks,” says Dan Voight, Motorsports Sales Manager for QA1.

QA1’s line of stock mount Stocker Star shocks are direct OE replacements for the front and rear that provide superior handling over stock. Engineered with deflective disc valving to provide increased valving response, control and consistency, these American-made shocks also feature a three-step sealing system that eliminates seal drag and dirt intrusion. Stocker Stars are also offered in other valving options, including double, single, Drag “R” Series and standard non-adjustable. QA1 shocks come standard with all mounting hardware for both upper and lower mounts. QA1 aluminum shocks are 100% dyno tested and serialized and are rebuildable and serviceable by QA1 Authorized Service Centers.

Pro Coil Systems

C2 C3 Corvette Pro Coil Systems

Newly released bolt-in front coil-over conversion kits give Corvette owners adjustable ride height and valving control. These front Pro Coil Systems include adjustable aluminum shocks, high travel springs and all necessary mounting hardware. The lightweight aluminum shocks are 100% dyno tested and serialized and are rebuildable and serviceable by QA1 Authorized Service Centers. Choose from double, single or Drag “R” Series adjustable valving options to fine-tune your ride. With a threaded body, these shocks allows the car to be lowered from stock ride height to -2 inches while on the car. This allows you to get the stance exactly where you want it for your driving style or wheel and tire combination.

This adjustability is complemented by the American-made lightweight high travel springs, which reduce unsprung weight and react faster, optimizing suspension performance. Multiple spring rate options are also available and have been successfully tested in various applications, from casual street driving to hard core race applications.

Front Sway Bar

To complement the performance gains from the Stocker Stars or Pro Coil Systems, QA1 has also released a bolt-in front sway bar for these Corvettes. This sway bar is designed to improve handling by giving your chassis the stability it needs to keep your tires planted on the road, resulting in better cornering ability for more aggressive handling. Each sway bar is engineered by QA1 to provide the best performance, and the accuracy and consistency of being formed by CNC tube bending ensures precision fitment. These hollow sway bars are made using 1 ¼” O.D. 4130 chromoly steel that is gloss black powder coated, providing lasting durability and corrosion resistance, and include greasable polyurethane bushings and high quality plated hardware.
