Welder

QA1 is seeking an experienced Welder who is responsible for the setup and operation of welding machines. This position is Non-Exempt and reports to the Production Shop Manager, 7 am - 3 pm shift.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • 1. Sets up and operates welding machines to weld metal parts according to work orders, blueprint layouts, and verbal instructions.
  • 2. Regulates flow of gases for proper mixture.
  • 3. Maintains tools, gages, and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
  • 4. MIG & TIG experience
  • 5. Complies with company policies and procedures while paying special attention to safety regulations.
  • 6. Uses inspection gages such as verniers, scales, micrometers and pin gages.
  • 7. Follows blueprints to meet product specifications and maintain tight tolerances.
  • 8. Reports production discrepancies to management.
  • 9. Performs inspection of completed product in accordance with company quality standards.

Education/Experience: 
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Specialized Training: 
One to Two years of Vo-Tech service in welding
