Over $8,000 Raised for the ALA with the 1st Annual Jim Jordan Memorial Golf Tournament

July 30, 2015

Nearly 20 teams participated in the 1st Annual Jim Jordan Memorial Golf Tournament, a 4-person scramble in honor of QA1 founder and chairman Jim Jordan. The tournament was organized to raise money for the American Lung Association as a tribute to Jim and his love of the game. Between participant registration, event donations, sponsorships and raffle tickets, the event raised $8,335 to donate in Jim’s name.

The tournament was held at the Boulder Pointe Golf Club in Elko, Minnesota, and had prizes for the top three teams as well as for hole games like longest putt, closest to the pin, and everyone’s favorite, closest to the cooler.

Raffle prizes included a collection of whiskeys promoted as Jim’s Choice, as his drink of choice was a Chivas on the rocks with a rack of olives; signed apparel and photos of Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Wild players; Minnesota Twins tickets; wine, office and home supply baskets; and more.

“Everyone had a great time and was very generous,” said Melissa Scoles, QA1 President and Jim’s daughter. “My dad would have loved it.”
